Confluence for Creators

This course will change your life. It will end the daily scavenger hunt for you and your team - always hunting for that report, or those meeting minutes. Those crazy times end now.

This course teaches how to stop wasting your time and how to capture all of the activities related to your project, in real time!

The course is organized into the following lessons:.

1. Confluence vs Wikipedia - Confluence is a Wiki like Wikipedia. We will show how it is simlar to Wikipedia in many ways. However, we will then show how we will easily customize it to suit our purposes for the development of one or more products, and even to capture processes links to your quality system and even company information. The following topics will also be covered:

• What is Confluence ?
• What is a Wiki ?
• How is it different from Sharepoint, MasterControl or DropBox?
• How will it benefit me or my team?

Lesson one also includes a brief walkthru of the subsequent lessons.

2. Confluence Tour - A walkthru of the key features of SPACES which act like top-level Directories for your projects, with examples showing its use for an Engineering Department SPACE and for a Project Development SPACE.

3. Confluence Setup - Step by Step walkthrough to set up a Confluence account and get logged in. Note that confluence is free for 10 or fewer users.

4. Project Development Space Setup - Step by step walkthru that starts with our fresh Confluence installation and re-creates the Project Development Space seen in Lesson 2, the Confluence Tour.

In this lesson we will show how to create new Pages and Subpages, how to add content to a page including links to sharepoint or Google Drive documents, and we add features like Tables, directory lists and tables of contents, meeting minutes and tasklists and more to a page.

When we are finished, the Confluence Project space will mirror the one shown on the Confluence tour in Lesson 2.
