About me...

I have enjoyed a successful career leading innovation teams for 30+ years. With two decades of experience as a CEO, and as a key member of the leadership teams in two other firms, we grew two Startups, to successful exits, one to $880M, the other to $4.5B.


As the Director of Engineering for Jabil's Innovation Division, I led teams to deliver two products with embedded Machine Learning Algorithms to market. I subsequently led the development of implantable medical monitoring devices with 2+ year battery life using primary cell batteries, and design of a high powered implantable device that utliized TETS subcutaneous charging of implanted batteries.


My passion is developing new products and I led the architecture and the development of 60+ products. I enjoy my role as a coach and a judge for startups enrolled in MedTech Innovator, and I have coached more than a dozen other startups as well, in medical product development.

Do you give advice on Cap Tables and Funding Options for Startups?

No. My area of expertise is in product development and program management.

What kind of activities can you help with?

I can help you with things like defining your Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and assessing when achieve product-market-fit (PMF) and even pricing of your product or sercice..

What is a Reverse PR Notice?

A Reverse PR Notice is something developed by Amazon to create a "fake" Press Release for a proposed new product. Amazon named this approach "Working Backwards".

It is created with a focus on how it helps the end-customer and it walks thru the key steps involved in use of the product.

How does your Podcast help founders?

Since my podcast is a summary of a book related to innovation, I learn and share the lessons taught by these authors who share their experience.


Founders may listen to the podcast to gain these insights, and I also share relevant tips from these resouces during one-on-one coaching sessions.

Are Fees for Coaching sessions refundable?

No. However, I set a very low price for the initial session to give Founders and Innovators a chance to figure out whether my coaching will deliver the value they want.

What kind of products and companies have you worked with or coached?

I have broad experience ranging from Precision Robotic Metrology systems to Inventory-control printing systems used in large Retail and car-rental agencies, to Medical product development for both capital equipment and wearables / Implantables. I have also led programs with embedded Machine-Learning Models operating in the target product.

How can you help us Leverage AI in our business?

I can help you build Custom Chatbots to answer questions for your customers or to automate workflow to reduce turnaround times in your organization.


I have also led the development and delivery of multiple product with embedded Machine Learning and have built the ML/AI models for these products.


My experience working in a design consultancy for 25+ years has given me the opporunity to solve challgenges for a companies that span from startup to Fortune 50, with a very broad range of products, services and workflows.
